The Library and Information Centre has developed modern infrastructure and knowledge of digitization, image processing and documentation of different materials under the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2007-2014. More specifically, it enables the digitization of documents, books, audio cassette tapes and video (VHS), vinyl records, photographic films (negatives and positives), printed photographs, microfilm – microfiche and posters – maps (up to A0 size).

The equipment for all types of original material except for books is located on Lesvos. The book scanner is located at the Samos Library Branch.
