Spatial Data Infrastructure

The Spatial Data Infrastructure of the University of the Aegean aims to the support the collection, organization, documentation, processing, analysis, search, display and distribution of spatial data that are produced or used by academia. It consists of a set of information systems, international interoperability standards and organization procedures, as well as human resources, which interact and can employ spatial data in the educational and research work of the University.

The Spatial Data Infrastructure was created in the framework of the actions:

- "SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE AEGEAN" project number 304266 which is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and National Funds as part of the Operational Programmes: a) "04 - Digital Convergence", Priority Axis "02 ITC and Improving Quality of Life" and b) "11 Crete and Aegean Isles", Priority Axis "06 - Digital Convergence & Entrepreneurship of South Aegean Region" of NSRF and is implemented by the Research Unit of University of the Aegean.

- "DIGITAL LIBRARY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE AEGEAN", project number 304262 which is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and National Funds as part of the Operational Programmes: a) "04 - Digital Convergence", Priority Axis "02 ITC and Improving Quality of Life" and b) "Crete and Aegean Isles" Priority Axis "06 - Digital Convergence & Entrepreneurship of South Aegean Region" of NSRF and is implemented by the Research Unit of University of the Aegean.
