The library collection consists of about 180 000 volumes of books and 58 titles of scientific journals related to the subjects taught at the six(6) Schools and seventeen (17) Departments of the University of the Aegean

In addition to these core collections there are the following special collections:

• collection of audiovisual materials
• gray literature (dissertations, Ph.D. theses, technical reports, etc.)
• databases
• Publications of the Hellenic Statistical Authority
• other special Library Branch collections

The collection is enriched with new publications in Greek, English, French and German languages.

The library material is classified by the Dewey Decimal Classification System and catalogued according to Anglo American Cataloguing Rules 2. Subject headings follow the Library of Congress classification list.

The library collection is placed in open access stacks.

Library catalogue browsing can be done online through the V-Smart 2.0 library automation system or though the special user terminals in each library branch or through the Library portal for the users who have access to it.
