Through this service, thirty (30) academic libraries have acquired a single, centrally located, Library Management Information System , resulting in a catalog of bibliographic records and established authorities that are now common to all institutions (existing shared bibliographic records are consolidated in the central system of ILSaS). Also all the library automated functions were carried over from the local to the central system. These functions are acquisitions, circulation, tracking serial holdings, etc. In the new collaborative system, libraries will retain their autonomy with respect to all of its functions except cataloging.
