Description:

Dear Customer,
Scopus is pleased to announce a number of important changes aimed at consolidating Scopus' superior alerting functionality and improving the users overall search experience. These developments are based on user feedback and will go live on Tuesday, December 5.
Alert Enhancements: Scopus has enhanced both its RSS Feeds and HTML Feeds.
Scopus RSS Feeds can now be set-up in just one click. Feeds are available on more pages in Scopus and can be created from more locations. In addition, a name will be suggested for each RSS Feed. Users have the flexibility to change the name into any preferred name (read more)
HTML Feeds Enhancements deliver richer content e.g. cited-by count, publication year, source title and the first 5 author names of the article in its feeds. Furthermore, from the Scopus RSS page users can now directly create a Scopus HTML feed (read more).
Search Enhancements: Scopus offers now:
Exact Author Searching; users have the option to search on 'exact matches only' to quickly refine an author search (read more)
Improved Spelling Suggestions; spelling suggestions will be offered when a search retrieves only 50 or less results (read more)
Search History; more links to Search History are available (read more).
Additionally, Scopus will support the BibTex format when creating a reference list via QuikBib (read more).
If you would like to know more, or tell us what you think, please contact your local helpdesk. We trust that you and your users will find these changes valuable enhancements to the literature research process.
Many thanks,
The Scopus Team.
